Jeff was born and raised in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead and Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C.
He is president and founder of Midwest Employment Resources, a firm providing employment law training, investigation and mediation services to businesses throughout the country. He has previously served as an attorney with Cargill, Inc. and with firms in Minneapolis and Chicago.Jeff is a nationally recognized speaker on employment law and human resource topics.
Jeff served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2000 to 2006 and was first elected to the Hennepin County Board in 2008.
He has been very active in the community over the years, coaching youth football, baseball and soccer, teaching confirmation and Sunday School at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, serving on numerous non-profit boards and tutoring kids at homeless shelters in Minneapolis, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
Jeff and his wife, Sondi, live in Plymouth with their two sons, Thor and Rolf, who both attend Wayzata High School.
